![]() Tricky Pixels is porting the game over, with Sony overseeing the process. ![]() We are not developing the port, as many of you know. Stage of development/estimation of release: Journey was specifically designed to take as much advantage of the PS3’s architecture as possible, so there was much work to be done. The port was originally slated for a release in 2014, but in order to make the game run fluidly in 1080p and 60FPS, it had to be pushed back. Here are the answers to all of your questions:Ģ014 Announcement & Original Release Window: I’d like to see such a detailed post from you (tgc) once in a while. Just send Tricky Pixels to the PS blog to give us an update.Īnyway, that is it for me. We’d just love to see more openness after the delay we only knew about because no game came out. It is great though, but nothing to share guys” type of answer that could also be translated to “F u guys. It is just the “we do not know what these guys are doing. ![]() C’mon, Journey is not the biggest game out there so please be more open to your loyal fan base and as smaller devs be more upfront and be a role model and simply tell us which issues you ran into and why and that you are currently aiming for this or that date and that you will keep updating us when there is anything new to share.īut no one does that… AT ALL. Neither Tricky Pixels (do they even have a twitter?!) nor you guys did communicate the delay to us properly. When a game gets announced for 2014 and then it does not come out that year and there is no real official statement as to why that is people get angry and/or and/or frustrated. That is why people are asking for more info. “This year” aka 2014 is over, it is 2015 now. ![]() That train has already left the station when originally you wrote this in the announcement: “Today we are happy to share that a whole new generation of players will experience the wonder of Journey when it comes to PlayStation 4 later this year.” However as a response to what Sunni said. I do also prefer getting a game that is finished, but it is obvious that Tricky Pixels ran into some problems and looking at the nature of the game those are probably networking issues that prevent the game from being put already. I wish you all the best and good luck! Can’t wait for you new game □ Sorry for a big comment, I just wanted to express how I feel about this game and to say thank you, for creating games like this, they are making this world a bit better. And I’m so happy this game comes to PS4, more people will get this amazing experience. She isn’t a player, never ever played video games, but when she started Journey she couldn’t stop, she played it from the beginning to the end 2 times in a row without breaks! She said she felt better after playing, this game made her understand and accept some things about life, same it did to me. I recommended this game to my aunt, after she lost her mum (my granny). Journey made me think about what our life is… Whenever I feel bad I play this game and I feel better. Everything- the idea, music, sounds, colors, scenery is just perfect. Thank you very much guys, for this masterpiece, a true art, the game, which makes even men cry sometimes. This was the best message I’ve ever got on PSN. Once I got a message from a player: ” Thank you! My friend was playing Journey with you on my PS3 yesterday, he was so excited! He bought his own PS3 today, just because of this game”. I can’t count how many times I’ve finished Journey, I come back to this game again and again and every time- new people, new experience, new feelings. This was my first game by TGC, and after I played it I bought Flower, Flow and Unfinished Swan. I can’t say enough how I feel about Journey. Until then, players can enjoy discovering, or rediscovering, Journey’s predecessors - flOw and Flower - both available now on PS3, PS4 and PS Vita. More details about Journey’s release on PlayStation 4 are in the works for future announcement. Thanks to the heartfelt efforts of fellow developers Tricky Pixels, players new and old alike will share in the beloved Journey experience in visually stunning 1080p. Today we are happy to share that a whole new generation of players will experience the wonder of Journey when it comes to PlayStation 4 later this year. Many players who bought a PS4 wrote us wondering if they will be able to experience Journey one day. Thanks to the many referrals of our players over the years, we’ve seen a steady flow of new players discovering the game and a community of veterans helping them along the way. It’s been quite a ride seeing how far Journey has come in the two and a half years since its launch on PlayStation 3.
